Petraster rigidus

Taxonomy
Palasterina rigidus was named by Billings (1857). Its type specimen is Victoria Memorial Museum, Ottawae No. 140la and is not a trace fossil. It is the type species of Petraster.

It was recombined as Petraster rigidus by Billings (1858), Hall (1868), Schuchert (1915), Owen (1965), Blake et al. (2016) and Blake (2018).
