Taxonomy
Pinegopora petita was named by Gilmour and Snyder (2000). Its type specimen is USNM 499259 and is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Mission Argellite, which is in the Wordian of limestone/siltstone the Mission Argillite Formation Washington.
