Taxonomy
Amphipora vacuite was named by Wang and Huang (1985). It is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Qinjia, Debao, Donggangling Formation, which is in a Givetian reef, buildup or bioherm limestone in the Donggangling Formation of China.
