Taxonomy
Leda elongata was named by Vaillant-Couturier Treat (1933). It is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Ankitokazo region, which is in a Wuchiapingian coastal mudstone in the Lower Sakamena Formation of Madagascar.
It was recombined as Phestia elongata by Clapham (2015).
