Taxonomy
Retzia radialis grandicosta was named by Davidson (1862). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Moosakhail (Fleming coll), which is in a Wuchiapingian marine limestone in the Wargal Formation of Pakistan.
It was recombined as Eumetria grandicosta by Waagen (1883); it was recombined as Retzia (Eumetria) grandicosta by Rothpletz (1892); it was recombined as Retzia (Hustedia) grandicosta by Schellwien (1900), Diener (1903), Frech (1911), Broili (1922); it was synonymized subjectively with Hustedia remota by Shen et al. (2003), He et al. (2008); it was recombined as Hustedia grandicosta by Reed (1931), Grabau (1931), Shimizu (1961), Licharew and Kotlyar (1978), Lee and Gu (1980), Zeng et al. (1995), Chen (2004), Tazawa (2008).
