Taxonomy
Cimomia tenuicosta was named by Glenister et al. (1956) [DISTRIBUTION: Campanian-Maastrichtian; western Australia.]. Its type specimen is Comm. Aust. Bur. Min. Res. 1714, a shell, and it is not a trace fossil.

It was recombined as Angulithes (Cimomia) tenuicosta by Wiedmann (1960).
