Racemina conica was named by Termier and Termier (1977) [Collection H & G Termier (Paris)]. Its type specimen is HGT 0483 and is not a trace fossil.
It was recombined as Cystothalamia conica by Senowbari-Daryan and Rigby (1988) and Rigby et al. (1994).
