Taxonomy
Spica spica was named by Termier and Termier (1977) [Collection H & G Termier (Paris)]. Its type specimen is HGT 0482 and is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Merbah el Oussif Series, Djebel Tebaga, which is in a Wordian/Capitanian marine marl/carbonate in Tunisia.
