Colospongia maxima
Taxonomy
Colospongia maxima was named by Rigby et al. (1989) [Institute of Geology, Academia Sinica, Beijing]. Its type specimen is IG 5086 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Xiangbo reef, unit 50, Longlin County, which is in a Wuchiapingian reef, buildup or bioherm wackestone/packstone in the Wujiaping Formation of China.
