Desmophyllites larteti

Taxonomy
Desmoceras larteti was named by Seunes (1891). It is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Carrière Bernès, between Gan and Rébénacq (Seunes collection), which is in a Maastrichtian marine marl in the Nay Formation of France.

It was recombined as Desmophyllites larteti by Kennedy et al. (1992), Ward and Kennedy (1993), Kennedy and Hancock (1993), Kennedy and Summesberger (1999) and Courville and Odin (2001).
