Blasispirifer reedi
Taxonomy
Spirifer reedi was named by Licharew (1978). Its type specimen is TsNIGR 212/9210, a shell (Articulated shell), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Flangovaya Mountain, Upper Chandalaz, Artemovka River, Primorye, which is in a Capitanian carbonate limestone in the Chandalaz Formation of the Russian Federation.
It was recombined as Neospirifer reedi by Pavlova et al. (1991); it was recombined as Blasispirifer reedi by Shi and Tazawa (2001), Tazawa (2001), Shi et al. (2022).
