Taxonomy
Taimyrokolymia ustritskyi was named by Biakov (2008). Its type specimen is TsNIGR 262/7443, a valve (Left valve), and it is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Tsvetkov Cape, Tsvetochni horizon, Taimyr Peninsula, which is in a Wordian marine siliciclastic in the Tsvetochni Formation of the Russian Federation. It is the type species of Taimyrokolymia.
