Taxonomy
Sphenodiscus roemeri was named by Cragin (1893) [DISTRIBUTION: Albian; Gulf Coastal Plain.]. It is not a trace fossil.

It was recombined as Parengonoceras roemeri by Kennedy et al. (1998).
