Taxonomy
Gauthiericeras albiforme was named by Klinger and Kennedy (1984) [DISTRIBUTION: Coniacian; South Africa.]. Its type specimen is SAS 92/4, a shell, and it is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Picnic Point, False Bay (between locality 83 and 84), which is in a Coniacian marine siltstone in the St Lucia Formation of South Africa.
