Ammonites serratomarginatus was named by Redtenbacher (1873) [DISTRIBUTION: Coniacian; Europe.]. It is not a trace fossil.

It was recombined as Paratexanites serratomarginatus by Kennedy et al. (1981), Kennedy (1984), Kennedy (1995).
