Taxonomy
Haploceras cumshewaensis was named by Whiteaves (1884) [DISTRIBUTION: Albian-Cenomanian; Cosmopolitan.]. It is not a trace fossil.

It was recombined as Kossmaticeras (Madrasites) cumshewaense by Anderson (1958); it was recombined as Marshallites cumshewaensis by McLearn (1972), Kennedy and Klinger (1985) and Alabushev (1995).
