Taxonomy
Barroisiceras (Forresteria) forresteri was named by Reeside (1932). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is East of Oak Spring, Sevier Co. [Mancos Shale], which is in a Coniacian marine shale in the Mancos Shale Formation of Texas. It is the type species of Barroisiceras (Forresteria).
It was recombined as Forresteria forresteri by Kennedy and Wright (1983).
