Ammonites madrasinus was named by Stolickza (1865) [DISTRIBUTION: Santonian-Campanian; India; southern Africa.]. It is not a trace fossil.

It was recombined as Kossmaticeras (Karapadites) madrasinus by Kennedy and Klinger (1985).
