Taxonomy
Ulrichotrypa incrustata was named by Ernst (2001) [Federal Institute for Geosciences and Natural Research, Berlin]. Its type specimen is X11876 and is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Trebnitz, near Gera, Thuringen, which is in a Wuchiapingian shallow subtidal limestone in the Zechstein Formation of Germany.
