Ponteixites gracilis
Taxonomy
Ponteixites gracilis was named by Warren (1934) [DISTRIBUTION: Campanian; Western Interior.]. Its type specimen is Nat. Mus. of Canada 8741, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Notukeu Creek [Bearpaw Fm], which is in a Campanian marine claystone/shale in the Bearpaw Formation of Canada.
