Actinosepia canadensis
Taxonomy
Actinosepia canadensis was named by Whiteaves (1897) [DISTRIBUTION: Campanian; Western Interior.]. It is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is South Saskatchewan River, opposite Swift Current Creek, which is in a Campanian offshore siliciclastic in the Bearpaw Formation of Canada. It is the type species of Actinosepia.
