Parainoceramus nikolaewi was named by Voronets (1936).
It was synonymized subjectively with Kolymia bulkurensis by Astafieva (1993); it was recombined as Kolymia nikolaevi by Biakov (2018); it was recombined as Kolymia nikolaewi by Muromtseva and Guskov (1984), Biakov (2021).
