Eucalycoceras lymense was named by Spath (1926) [DISTRIBUTION: Cenomanian; Europe, central Asia, southern Africa.]. It is not a trace fossil.

It was recombined as Mantelliceras lymense by Kennedy (1994), Kennedy (1994), Kennedy et al. (2008), Mosavinia and Wilmsen (2011).
