Taxonomy
Parahoplites aschiltaensis was named by Anthula (1899). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Akuscha valleys, which is in an Aptian marine siliciclastic in the Russian Federation.

It was recombined as Acanthohoplites aschiltaensis by Stoyanow (1949), Förster (1975), Wright et al. (1996), Szives (2007), Matsukawa (2021), Frau (2023), Lehmann and Bayliss (2024).

  • Parahoplites abichi was named by Anthula (1900). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Akuscha valleys, which is in an Aptian marine siliciclastic in the Russian Federation.

    It was recombined as Acanthohoplites abichi by Szives (2007); it was recombined as Protacanthoplites abichi by Lehmann et al. (2019); it was synonymized subjectively with Acanthohoplites aschiltaensis by Frau (2023).
