Taxonomy
Ammonites beudanti was named by Brongniart (1822). It is a 3D body fossil. It is the type species of Beudanticeras.

It was recombined as Desmoceras beudanti by Douvillé (1916); it was recombined as Beudanticeras (Beudanticeras) beudanti by Szives (2007); it was recombined as Beudanticeras beudanti by Haas (1942), Renz (1982), Henderson (1990), Geyer et al. (1997), Latil et al. (2023).
