Taxonomy
Notostreptites exilis was named by Henderson (1990) [DISTRIBUTION: Albian; Australia]. It is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Point Charles, Cox Peninsula, which is in an Albian offshore ironstone in the Wangarlu Mudstone Formation of Australia. It is the type species of Notostreptites.
