Taxonomy
Cystothalamia crassa was named by Belyaeva (1991). Its type specimen is DVGI 8-B coll.173 slide 12 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Bezymyannaya Mountain, Collection 173, Partizanskaya River, which is in a Changhsingian reef, buildup or bioherm limestone in the Lyudyanza Formation of the Russian Federation.
