Taxonomy
Kossmaticeras (Madrasites) densicostatus was named by Kilian and Reboul (1909) [DISTRIBUTION: Maastrichtian; Antarctica.]. It is not a trace fossil.

It was recombined as Maorites densicostatus by Marshall (1926), Spath (1953), Lahsen and Charrier (1972), Henderson and McNamara (1985), Macellari (1986), Salazar et al. (2010).
