Stearoceras phosphoriense
Taxonomy
Asymptoceras phosphoriense was named by Branson (1930). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Owl Creek Mountains (Top Limestone), which is in a Lopingian carbonate limestone in the Park City Formation of Wyoming.
It was recombined as Stearoceras phosphoriense by Miller and Cline (1934), Miller and Youngquist (1949).
