Parapachydiscus arkansanus was named by Stephenson (1941) [DISTRIBUTION: Campanian; Western Interior.]. It is not a trace fossil.

It was recombined as Pachydiscus (Pachydiscus) arkansanus by Kennedy and Cobban (1993).
