Taxonomy
Stictostroma jasperense was named by Stearn (1975). It is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Ancient Wall Reef Complex, Mt. Haultain, upper Flume Member, which is in a Frasnian reef, buildup or bioherm limestone in the Cairn Formation of Canada.
