Gryposuchus jessei
Taxonomy
Gryposuchus jessei was named by Gürich (1912). Its type specimen is Geologischen Instituts Hamburg (unnumbered), a partial skull (distal end of a rostrum), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Rio Acre, which is in a Tortonian fluvial-deltaic siliciclastic in the Solimoes Formation of Brazil. It is the type species of Gryposuchus.
