Ammonites infundibulum was named by d'Orbigny (1840). It is a 3D body fossil.
It was recombined as Phylloceras infundibulum by Douvillé (1916); it was recombined as Phyllopachyceras infundibulum by Kennedy (1994), Reboulet (1996), Wright et al. (1996), Cecca et al. (1998), Murphy and Rodda (2006).
