Taxonomy
Hollisites dichotomus was named by Imlay (1960) [DISTRIBUTION: Early Cretaceous; Pacific Coast, North America.]. Its type specimen is USNM 129659, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is USGS Mesozoic 1251, Cow Creek at Riddle, which is in a Hauterivian marine siliciclastic in Oregon.
