Steueroceras jenkinsi was named by Anderson (1933) [DISTRIBUTION: Early Cretaceous; Pacific Coast, North America.
named but neither figured, nor described by Anderson 1933; said in Anderson 1938 to be a n. sp.]. It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is CAS loc. 33502, Southeast of Burt's Ranch house on McCarthy Creek, which is in a Valanginian marine siliciclastic in the Paskenta Formation of California.
It was recombined as Neocomites jenkinsi by Anderson (1938) and Anderson (1938); it was recombined as Thurmanniceras jenkinsi by Imlay (1960) and Imlay and Jones (1970).
