Hammatostroma albertense
Taxonomy
Hammatostroma albertense was named by Stearn (1961). It is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Southesk-Cairn complex, Sawtooth Mountain, which is in a Frasnian reef, buildup or bioherm limestone in the Cairn Formation of Canada. It is the type species of Hammatostroma.
