Temnoptychites simplex inflatus was named by Bodylevsky (1967) [DISTRIBUTION: Valanginian; Siberia.]. It is not a trace fossil.

It was recombined as Nikitinoceras (Nikitinoceras) inflatum by Alsen (2006).
