Taxonomy

Polyptychites conferticosta was named by Pavlow (1914) [DISTRIBUTION: Valanginian; Greenland.]. It is not a trace fossil.

It was synonymized subjectively with Siberites ramulicosta by Bogomolov (1989); it was recombined as Polyptychites (Polyptychites) conferticosta by Alsen (2006).
