Taxonomy
Euryptychites pateraeformis was named by Voronets (1962) [DISTRIBUTION: Valanginian; Greenland, Siberia.]. It is not a trace fossil.

It was recombined as Siberiptychites (Pseudoeuryptychites) pateraeformis by Jeletzky and Kemper (1988); it was synonymized subjectively with Euryptychites (Propolyptychites) globulosus by Bogomolov (1989); it was recombined as Polyptychites (Euryptychites) pateraeformis by Alsen (2006).
