Craspedites flexicosta was named by Koenen (1902) [DISTRIBUTION: Valanginian; Europe, Siberia, Greenland.]. It is not a trace fossil.

It was recombined as Prodichotomites flexicosta by Jeletzky and Kemper (1988); it was recombined as Dichotomites (Prodichotomites) flexicosta by Alsen (2006).
