Paracymatoceras asper
Taxonomy
Nautilus asper was named by Oppel (1868). It is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Stramberg, Moravia (BSPG collection), which is in a Tithonian carbonate limestone in the Stramberger Formation of Czechia. It is the type species of Paracymatoceras.
It was recombined as Paracymatoceras asper by Kummel (1956), Alsen (2006).
