Ammonites goodhalli was named by Sowerby (1820) [DISTRIBUTION: Albian; Europe, Australia.]. It is not a trace fossil.

It was recombined as Prohysteroceras (Goodhallites) goodhalli by Renz (1982); it was recombined as Goodhallites goodhalli by Henderson and Kennedy (2002).
