Hysteroceras carinatum was named by Spath (1922) [Type specimen: Ammonites varicosus Sowerby, d'Orbigny, 1841, 294, pl. 87, fig. 4 only. Distribution: Early Upper Albian.]. It is a 3D body fossil.
