Taxonomy
Teschenites subpachydicranus was named by Reboulet (1996). Its type specimen is GSL 488832, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Neocomites subpachydicranus by Pérez Valera and Company (2001); it was recombined as Neocomites (Teschenites) subpachydicranus by Klein (2005).
