Taxonomy
Batrachopodiscus quthingensis was named by Ellenberger (1970). It is not extant. Its type locality is Malibe tracksite, which is in a Pliensbachian terrestrial sandstone in the Clarens Formation of Lesotho.

It was considered a nomen dubium by Klein and Lucas (2021).
