Taxonomy
Anostylostroma intermedium was named by Klovan (1966). It is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Redwater Reef Complex, Upper Leduc, back-reef, which is in a Frasnian perireef or subreef limestone in the Leduc Formation of Canada.
