Geothomasia teicherti

Taxonomy
Tomiopsis teicherti was named by Archbold and Thomas (1986) [Commonwealth Palaeontological Collection, Canberra]. Its type specimen is CPC 24261, a shell (Articulated shell), and it is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is BMR CC90, Minilya River, which is in a Kungurian marine siltstone in the Wandagee Formation of Australia. It is the type species of Tomiopsis (Geothomasia).

It was recombined as Tomiopsis (Geothomasia) teicherti by Waterhouse (1998); it was recombined as Geothomasia teicherti by Williams et al. (2007).
