Edaphosaurus claviger
Taxonomy
Naosaurus claviger was named by Cope (1886). It is not extant. Its type locality is Coffee Creek, 34 (Arroyo Formation), which is in a Kungurian terrestrial claystone/sandstone in the Arroyo Formation of Texas.
It was recombined as Edaphosaurus claviger by Williston and Case (1913), Hay (1930); it was synonymized subjectively with Edaphosaurus pogonias by Reisz (1986).
