Paleoamphiuma tetradactylum
Taxonomy
Paleoamphiuma tetradactylum was named by Rieppel and Grande (1998). Its type specimen is FMNH PR1810, a skeleton (nearly complete skeleton missing most of one forelimb), and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Tynsky Quarry, which is in a Wasatchian lacustrine - large limestone in the Green River Formation of Wyoming. It is the type species of Paleoamphiuma.
