Protocaptorhinus pricei
Taxonomy
Protocaptorhinus pricei was named by Clark and Carroll (1973). Its type specimen is MCZ 1478, a partial skull, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Rattlesnake Canyon (Admiral Fm.), which is in an Artinskian terrestrial horizon in the Petrolia Formation of Texas. It is the type species of Protocaptorhinus.
